ปะทะคาราวานขนยาเสพติด ยึดของกลางได้กว่า 1,100,000 เม็ด

เมื่อวันที่ 10 กันยายน 2562 พลตรี บรรณวัฒน์ พรหมจรรย์ ผู้บัญชาการศูนย์ปฎิบัติการป้องกันและปราบปรามยาเสพติดชายแดนภาคเหนือ
ได้รับรายงานว่าจะมีการลักลอบลำเลียงยาเสพติดในพื้นที่ อ.เชียงดาว จ.เชียงใหม่ โดยจะลักลอบลำเลียงอ้อมผ่านจุดตรวจแก่งปันเต๊า ต.แม่นะ อ.เชียงดาว เพื่อส่งมอบให้กับกลุ่มเครือข่ายยาเสพติดในพื้นที่ตอนใน จึงได้สั่งการให้ ชุดปฏิบัติการพิเศษศูนย์ปฏิบัติการป้องกันและปราบปรามยาเสพติดชายแดนภาคเหนือ , หน่วยเฉพาะกิจกรมทหารม้าที่ 5 กองกำลังผาเมือง ร่วมกับ กองบังคับการควบคุมศูนย์ปฏิบัติการปราบปรามยาเสพติดชายแดนภาคเหนือที่ 1และ 2 , ชุดสกัดกั้นยาเสพติดตำรวจภูธรภาค 5 และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ทำการสกัดกั้นลัดเลาะจับกุมยาเสพติดตามที่ได้รับแจ้ง

โดยตรวจพบกลุ่มขบวนการ เจ้าหน้าที่จึงแสดงตัวขอตรวจค้น แต่กลุ่มขบวนการลักลอบลำเลียงขนยาเสพติด ได้ใช้อาวุธปืนไม่ทราบชนิดยิงใส่เจ้าหน้าที่ จึงเกิดการยิงปะทะกันนานประมาณ 5 นาที เมื่อสิ้นสุดเสียงปืน ผลการปะทะฝ่ายเจ้าหน้าที่ปลอดภัย จากนั้นจึงเข้าตรวจสอบพื้นที่ดังกล่าว ตรวจพบกระสอบดัดแปลง จำนวน 8 ใบ ภายในบรรจุยาเสพติด เป็นยาบ้า 1,100,000 เม็ด จึงได้นำมาแถลงข่าวที่ตำรวจภูธรภาค 5 ต่อไป

10 September 2019, MAJ GEN Bannawat Prommachan, Commander of Northern Boarder Narcotics Control Operations Center, received a report about drug trafficking at Maena subdistrict Chiangdao district Chiangmai province. He, then, sent a special operation team to integrate with the 5th Calvary Regiment Task Force, Phamueang Task Force, the 1st and 2nd Headquarters of Northern Boarder Narcotics Control Operations Center, a Narcotics Suppression team of Provincial Police Region 5 and local authorities in the drug operations. The team found drug traffickers making a detour of Kangpantao checkpoint and asked for inspection. The suspects, however, fired at officers. The gunfire exchange took about 5 minutes. The suspects escaped, but the officers seized 1,100,000 tablets of methamphetamine. The impounded properties were submitted to the police for a legal action.
