พันเอก ชาตรี สงวนธรรม ผู้บังคับหน่วยเฉพาะกิจกรมทหารทหารม้าที่ 2 จัดกำลังจากกองร้อยทหารม้าที่ 3 หน่วยเฉพาะกิจกรมทหารม้าที่ 2 จำนวน 1 ชุดปฏิบัติการ ร่วมกับ ศุลกากรแม่สาย, ตำรวจตรวจคนเข้าเมืองจังหวัดเชียงราย ปฏิบัติหน้าที่บริเวณด่านพรมแดนถาวรแม่สาย อ.แม่สาย จ.เชียงราย ตรวจพบบุคคลต้องสงสัย โดยสารมากับรถสามล้อรับจ้าง พร้อมกระเป๋าสัมภาระ เดินทางมาจากเขตสาธารณรัฐแห่งสหภาพเมียนมา ทางด่านพรมแดนแม่สายบริเวณช่องทางผู้โดยสารขาเข้า เจ้าหน้าที่จึงได้แสดงตัวตนขอทำการตรวจค้นทราบชื่อคือ นาง Nwan Aung อายุ 22 ปี สัญชาติเมียนมา และ นาง Noon MO อายุ 33 ปี สัญชาติเมียนมา เจ้าหน้าที่จึงขอตรวจค้นสัมภาระที่นำมาด้วย โดยใช้เครื่องเอกซเรย์สแกนตรวจพบเป็นยาเสพติดให้โทษประเภท 1 ยาบ้า จำนวน 40,000 เม็ด และยาเสพติดให้โทษประเภท 1 ยาไอซ์ น้ำหนักรวมประมาณ 2 กิโลกรัม ซุกซ่อนอยู่ในกล่องนมและกล่องน้ำผลไม้ หน่วยจึงได้นำตัวผู้ต้องหาพร้อมของกลางส่งให้เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจสถานีตำรวจภูธรแม่สาย เพื่อดำเนินคดีตามกฎหมายต่อไป

COL Chatri Sanguantham, the 2nd Calvary Regiment Task Force Commander, assigned a troop from the 3rd Calvary Company, the 2nd Calvary Regiment Task Force, to join with authorities of Maesai Customs House and Chiangrai Immigration Bureau in drug operation at Maesai Boundary Post, Maesai district, Chiangrai province. The team arrested two female Burmese drug traffickers traveling from Myanmar in a tricycle taxi. An X-ray scanner detected 40,000 tablets of methamphetamine and 2 kg of crystal meth hidden inside milk boxes and juice boxes. The suspects were Mrs.Nwan Aung, 22 years old, and Mrs.Noon MO, 33 years old. The impounded properties and suspects were submitted to the police for a legal action.
